about

Wanna say something real quick about the title “sakhu,” or “soul”:

This title came from reading Na’im Akbar’s “Know Thyself.” He writes that “The ancient people of KMT (Egypt) identified the essence of human makeup as being the soul which they called Sakhu.” He continues: “Understanding the essential nature of the human being and our relationship to the rest of the cosmos was the major objective of [the Kemetic] educational system…”

I believe that beyond just bein work to be sold or shared, art is a means of understanding my own nature, my truest self, my innermost self, as well as the world around me and how I fit in. It gives the space to synthesize all the joy, the pain, the questions and thoughts involved in this journey called life and make some sense of it all. I put my heart and emotion into the craft, and my intention is to create an authentic reflection of me. In doin that, I hope to give anyone tuning in a positive experience… make some shit u can really feel, u feel me?

This music is simply a tool I choose to use to better myself physically, mentally, spiritually… holistically. Thank you to anyone that sits with this for any amount of time. I truly appreciate it.

Peace Love Prosperity Power,
